0023_Jim_5x7Dr .James D. Grenon, D.C. is a board certified chiropractic physician.  He has been in practice since 1991 and opened in his hometown of Cheshire in 1993, at which time he joined Dr. Jeanne D. Alexander.  He took over the practice as the owner in 1998 and brought on Dr. Ruddy to join the practice in 2005.  Although Dr. Alexander retired from chiropractic in 2005, she continues to be our clinical nutritionist.

Dr. Grenon graduated Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic in St Louis Mo., where he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic.   He continued extensive studies focused on Chiropractic Orthopedics and now has a family practice that ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics. He is a member of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Grenon has lived in Cheshire for more than 40 years and has treated thousands of patients from Cheshire and surrounding towns. He has seen his pediatric patients grow into adults while watching his adult patients grow older, yet healthier with the benefits of continued chiropractic care. Dr. Grenon uses a whole person approach, looking into correcting underlying causes of the symptoms that may be contributing to the injury. He looks to make changes in lifestyle, ergonomics, diet, exercise, orthotics, etc. that will optimize the conditions for normal functions. Dr. Grenon has a very good working relationship with doctors of different medical fields, such as neurologists, orthopedists, neurosurgeons, and physical therapists. He believes in team approach to your care, and if he feels chiropractic alone cannot help your case; he will refer to the appropriate specialist.

Dr. Grenon was involved with Cheshire Jaycees for many years and was even “volunteered” by his wife to be Santa one year for the tree lighting ceremony on the town green. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, The Cheshire Rotary and The Cheshire Chamber Commerce. He is very busy with his two daughters, who are quite active with year round swimming for the Cheshire Sea Dogs and indoor and outdoor soccer. When Dr. Grenon does have time for leisure, he enjoys playing golf, boating, outdoor activities, going to the gym, watching the Red Sox, the Patriots and UCONN Basketball.
